Hi and welcome to our Seattle Art Blog. Our Art Guide Northwest web site has thousands of readers, but since the print copy is published just yearly, I’ve started this blog in order to publish daily, up-to-the-minute gallery, museum and antique news. The best place to post show information is in the comments section beneath the weekly Calendar of art events. For gallery owners or pr people, send an email and have me post your exhibit. Address it to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . For press releases: 1) Put the date of the opening and closing first in the subject line, 2) followed by the name of the gallery. You can also attach a low resolution jpeg if you like. Please keep press releases brief with just the pertinent information. Please don't describe the wonder of the art work as I try to steer clear of adjectives. Do feel free to include any awards the artist has won, collections they are in, museum shows, etc.

Information is available on-line at www.cityofblaine.com/art. I appreciate any suggestions.... The deadline to submit artist's RFQ is September 23,2009. Thanks!

You are invited to the "Reaching for the Light" exhibit. Now in its 12th year, the show was open Friday, Nov 13, at the Blue Horse Gallery, 301 W Holly St. and will run until Nov 27.
Gordana Curgus painting "Mending" is part of this exhibit. Also, her painting "Dream" is featured on the exhibit's poster. The show is a chance for those who have experienced breast cancer to share their stories with art.
Please check the article in the Bellingham Herald about Gordana's art and this show at:
