705 Commercial Ave., ACME Creative
ACME Creative is showing work by Anacortes artist, Brian Cypher. In 2014, Cypher created a suite of etchings called "Entrances, Exits and Entropy", an exploration of abstract forms culled from his practice of automatic drawing. The etchings reveal a world of various states of being; matter becoming, objects decaying and energy transformation. The images represent a look into Cypher’s world of introspective observation of our nature.

419 Commercial Ave., The Majestic Inn and Spa
The Majestic Inn and Spa presents work by Maggi Mason and Dedrian Clark. Mason says, “As an artist using my own version of collage, I work with handmade papers and batik fabrics on gessoed boards. My inspiration comes from poems, legends, my imagination, and flora and fauna in the wild around us. I am trying to share the beauty of our world to those who take the time to look at my work.” Clark, a native Californian, spent her childhood enjoying the beauty and small-town atmosphere of Saratoga, and surrounding areas of Los Gatos and Santa Cruz. Clark now translates her love of nature to her pastel paintings, painting landscapes and wildlife and watching them come alive on canvas.
