Artwood Gallery, 1000 Harris Avenue in Bellingham’s Historic Fairhaven District is the place to see the Northwest’s finest handcrafted woodworking: dining tables, coffee tables, tall tables; side chairs, rockers, and easy chairs; stools, mirrors, shelves, cabinets and sculpture; kitchenware, jewelry boxes, and even ukuleles. Each month, Artwood features a particular category of woodworking, as well as an artist whose paintings are displayed. In October, Nicolette Harrington’s Northwest landscapes and seascapes are featured, along with small tables of all kinds, designs both traditional and original, some involving polished slabs of wood and stone, some incorporating metals. Artwood participates in the Fourth Friday Fairhaven Art Walk, 5:00-8:30 October 27. Image: by Nicolette Harrington.
