Northwest Fine Woodworking, 101 S. Jackson Street in Seattle, celebrates 30 years with “Against the Grain,” highlighting artistic vision in wood design. The show features ten new studio designs by Judith Ames, Tom Deady, Curtis Erpelding, David Gray, Hank Holzer, Grady Mathews, Rich Soborowicz, Robert Spangler, Thomas Strangeland and Stewart Wurtz. Also featured are segmented wood turnings by John Shrader, decorative inlaid vessels by Stephen Hatcher and woodblock print photography by Gary Groves. A reception for the artists will take place May 27 from 5-8pm with refreshments. The public is invited.
